GSi Free Vibes is a physical modeling emulation of a Vibraphone.

This instrument accurately replicates the sound and behavior of a Vibraphone through real-time sound generation using advanced mathematical calculations, avoiding the use of sampled material.

Usage:

The interface displays a classic 3-octave Vibraphone layout, though the sound engine supports up to 4 octaves spanning Midi notes #48 to #96.

To play a bar, touch it—lower touches correspond to higher velocities. Activate the sustain pedal by tapping the icon at the bottom right.

Parameters include:

• MODE: Select between Keyboard Mode for sustained sound or Mallet Mode for immediate stop on key release.
• MALLET HARDNESS: Adjust mallet hardness from soft to hard, impacting attack and instrument's response to velocity.

The Settings page offers two options:

• Tuning: Default at A=440 Hz, adjustable from 430 to 450 Hz.
• Midi Channel: Default setting is OMNI; however, customizable to receive on a specific channel.
